Chandra Residence is situated in the serene Nong Khwai district just southwest of Chiang Mai. The residence is close walking distance to the Royal Park Rajapruek, and the Chiang Mai Night Safari. A short bike ride up hill to a popular, Wat Phra That Doi Kham (Golden Temple).
The temple was built towards the end of the seventh century and is known for its 17 metres tall Buddha statue swathed in gold robes.The views from the top of Wat Doi Kham are impressive, you can see both the city and the rolling mountains at the back of Doi Pui Mountain.

While the leafy secluded area feels worlds away from town, we are still just a 15-20 minute drive from Chiang Mai International Airport, and 20-30 minutes from Chiang Mai’s Old City. Here you can discover the delights of Chiang Mai while being surrounded by the north’s natural beauty for a completely unique experience.

For dining options, there is a varied selection of restaurants, cafes, and local fresh markets nearby, ranging from simple street food stalls to molecular cuisine in a minimalist setting, as well as a well-appointed western supermarket to cater to all tastes.

The area also provides easy access to an array of entertaining, eclectic and adventurous recreational activities that Chiang Mai has become known for. From cycling in the surrounding national parks to taking the kids to an elephant sanctuary, spa hopping to savouring the city’s delicious cuisine, there’s always something new to discover in Chiang Mai.

Having your own vehicle is another good option. Free parking spaces are available on the premises. We highly recommend that you make arrangements for your own transportation with the car rentals well in advance, and you will need an international driver's license. Thailand has a left-hand drive traffic system.

Car rental with a professional driver: These car rental companies that provide various vehicles for rent, with a driver can drop off/ pick up from any location in Chiang Mai. (extra fee may apply depending on the company and the distance)

Motorcycle Rental: you can hire your own motorbike. * Please be sure to inspect bikes prior to rental and drive with extreme caution, as rental motorbikes are not normally insured. Thai law requires helmet.
